Utility Services

Utility services are billed at a flat monthly rate. You toggle them Active (full charge) or Inactive (₹0) for each month.

Common Examples

  • Internet / broadband
  • DTH / cable TV
  • Piped gas (flat-rate plan)
  • Electricity (flat monthly plan)

Setting Up

  1. Go to Services+ Add Service
  2. Select Utility as the type
  3. Enter:
    • Service Name (e.g. "Internet")
    • Monthly Rate in ₹
    • Billing Day (e.g. 1 for 1st of each month)
  4. Save

Tracking

Unlike Home Delivery or Visit-based, Utility services don't have a day-by-day grid. Instead, on the Service Calendar page:

  • Mark Active — Service is running this month, full charge applies
  • Mark Inactive — Service is paused/cancelled, ₹0 charge this month

Billing Calculation

Bill = Monthly Rate (if Active)
Bill = ₹0 (if Inactive)

Example: Internet plan at ₹799/month, marked Active = ₹799 in the bill

tip

If your internet was down for a week and you got a credit, you can still mark it Active and add a note to the bill manually.
